Shree Bhagwati defeat Boys Union in final game, Shree Kumari thrash Tusal

Shree Bhagwati Club (SBC) defeated Divine Boys Union Club (BUC) 2-1 in their final match of the Martyr's Memorial 'B' Division League on Tuesday.

Nawa Raj Gurung opened the scoring for SBC in the 40th minute. BUC levelled in the 63rd minute in the second half through Tanka Bahadur Singdan but Urgen Sherpa made it 2-1 four minutes later in the victory.

BUC finished fourth with 17 points from 11 matches. SBC are currently fifth but may go further down the table depending on results of other matches.

In the second match of the day, Shree Kumari Club (SKC) hit four past Tusal Youth Club (TYC) with Ashish Rai scoring a brace and Bibek Pun and Santosh Kumar Singh netting one each.

Singh opened the scoring in the 11th minute and Pun made it 2-0 in the 24th for SKC. Rai scored his first in the 45th minute to make it 3-0 before the break and added the team's fourth in the 67th minute.

SKC moved to sixth on the table with the win but their final position will depend on matches elsewhere. TYC are 10th with nine points.

Community Coaching Course begins in Dharan

A four-day Community Coaching Course has begun in Dharan from Monday.

The course is being organized by Sunsari District Football Association. Thirty-one participants from Udaypur, Khotang, Sunsari, Terhathum and Okhaldhunga are taking part in the course being instructed by ANFA's Head of Coach Education Sanjit Singh.

ANFA's Senior Vice President and Province 1 Football Association Chairperson Kishor Rai was the chief guest of the event. The course is being chaired by Sunsari Football Association Vice Chairperson Nabin Rai.

Madhyapur halt Satdobato's unbeaten streak, Pulchok register first win

Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA) inflicted first defeat on Satdobato Youth Club (SYC) in the Martyr's Memorial 'B' Division League with a 2-1 victory on Monday.

Kailash Lamichhane Khatri opened the score in the 29th minute meeting Sanjiv Thapa's cross with a diving header for MYA. SYC had to wait until the 50th minute to find the equalizer through Maldina Angthupo.

But MYA retook the lead in the 58th minute when Sunny Lama shocked the champions with a header after he was found by Ronish Dheke Rajbhak.

In the second match, Pulchok Sports Club (PSC) defeated Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 2-1 for their first win of the league.

Arjun Kumar Rana and Kismat Limbu scored for PSC in the win. RCT's Amar Dangol pulled one back and continued to put on the pressure but were denied by PSC.

Rana opened the scoring in the fifth minute before Dangol levelled in the 43rd minute. Limbu scored the winning goal in the 77th minute.

PSC are still bottom of the league with five points from 10 matches and will have to win their final match and hope Jhamsikhel Youth Club, who have six points, lose to stay in the league. RCT are fourth in the league with 13 points from 10 matches.

ANFA marks International Women's Day with AFC Women's Football Day program

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) marked International Women's Day with AFC Women's Football Dahy programme at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Monday.

The programme was chaired by ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa and coordinated by General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar while Women's committee Coordinator Pema Dolma Lama gave a welcome speech.

Students from Xavier International School and freestylers from Nepal Football Freestyle Group performed in the opening session. Nepali International Niru Thapa was awarded in the programme for her contribution to Nepali football.

Speaking at the programme, ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa said football has helped in the empowerment of women in the country. He also said ANFA has planned for the long-term and sustainable development of women's football in the country.

A friendly football match comprising ANFA members, former and current women's footballers, referees was played in the programme.
