Samaj Kalyan and Samajik Yuwa start with wins

Samaj Kalyan Khelkud Kendra and Samajik Yuwa Club registered wins in the Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League on Tuesday.

Samaj Kalyan defeated Sanogaucharan Youth Club 3-2 with goals from Sarad Rai, Rupesh Adhikari and Rakesh Bishwokarma. Raman Tamang and Urgen Lama scored for Sanogaucharan in the defeat.

The second match of the day also ended with the same scoreline with Samajik Yuwa Club defeating Swoyambhu Club. Basanta Bahadur Rana scored a hat-trick in the win while Mahesh Lama and Bikey Rai pulled two goals for Swoyambhu.

Birgunj, Manohara register wins

Birgunj United Club defeated Sanepa Club 3-2 in the Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League match on Monday.

Aasha Lal Kunwar, Bibek Chaudhary and Sanjay Chaudhary scored for Birgunj United Club while Karan Tamang and Ujwal Lama scored for Sanepa.

In the second match of day, Manohara United Club defeated Mahabir Club with the same goal margin. Binay Khadka, Om Prakash Singh and substitute Sunil Lama scored in the win while Ram Dhakal and Roman Tamang scored for Mahabir.

Khalibari, Church Boys make winning start as 'C' division begins

The Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League began from Sunday at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

Khalibari Youth FC (KYC) and Church Boys United (CBU) won the first two matches of the league. KYC defeated Jhapa FC (JFC) 2-1 with goals from Sudip KC and Bipin Kandel. Saroj Darji Karki Doli scored one for JFC.

In the second match, CBU defeated Oasis Club (OC) with goals from Kuber Neupane, Sanam Bhujel and two goals from Som Thapa. Ajay Manal scored in his own net to give the goal to OC.

National Futsal League qualifying concludes in Province 1

The qualification round of the 'A' Division National Futsal League 2077 has successfully concluded in Province 1 on Tuesday.

Eight futsal teams from Province 1 participated in the qualifiers with two teams qualifying for the final round to be held in Pokhara from Jestha 1 to Jestha 21 next year.

In the final match held at Pathibhara Futsal, Itahari, Futsal 5 Dharan defeated The Rising FC 5-4 in penalty shootout.

The match was decided through penalty shootout after the match ended 4-4 draw.

Both the finalist teams will receive rupees one lakh each as the preparation money for the final round.

Chief Guest of the closing ceremony ANFA Senior Vice President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Coordinator of ANFA Futsal Committee Ratna Kumar Shrestha, Head of Futsal Binod Gurung among ANFA Ex. Co Members, other officials and DFA representative jointly awarded the winning team, players and officials.

The second round of qualifying for Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim province will be held in Dang from April 1-5 (Chaitra 19-23).
