Final squad for women's friendlies announced

The final squad for the Vianet International Women's Championship 2025 has been announced.

Head coach Rajendra Tamang revealed the squad on Thursday ahead of the friendly tournament, which will take place during the FIFA International Window. The competition kicks off on February 17 at Dasharath Stadium.

Four teams—Kyrgyz Republic, Lebanon, Myanmar, and Nepal—will compete in a single round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final on February 26.

Final squad for China youth friendly announced

The final squad for the friendly match against Yunnan Youth Football Team on February 15 at the Dasharath Stadium has been announced.

Youth Head Coach Rajesh Shahi announced his 23-member squad on Tuesday.

Nepal youth will play the friendly on the occasion of Chinese New Year at 2:30 pm at the national stadium.

Chyasal Youth to face Birgunj United in B Division League opener

The fixtures for the Shahid Smarak B Division League 2081 have been finalized, with Chyasal Youth Club set to take on Birgunj United in the opening match at Dasharath Stadium.

The draw, conducted by ANFA’s competition committee at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Friday, was attended by representatives from participating clubs.

The tournament will kick off on Falgun 25, with matches scheduled at Dasharath Stadium and the ANFA Complex. ANFA has also indicated that additional venues may be considered if necessary.

A total of 14 clubs—Chyasal Youth Club, Jhapa Football Club, Brigade Boys Club, Tusal Youth Club, RCT, Nayabasti Youth Club, Saraswoti Youth Club, Bansbari Club, Boys Union Club, Shree Bhagawati Club, Madhyapur Youth Association, Shree Kumari Club, Planning Boyz United, and Birgunj United—will compete in a single round-robin format.

The top two teams at the end of the league will be promoted to the A Division, while the bottom two will be relegated to the C Division.

The league winner will receive Rs 15 lakhs, with Rs 10 lakhs awarded to the runner-up and Rs 5 lakhs to the third-placed team. Each match winner will earn Rs 25,000, while teams will receive Rs 10,000 each in the event of a draw.

The Fair Play Team of the tournament will be awarded Rs 100,000. Individual awards include Rs 50,000 each for the Highest Scorer and Best Goalkeeper, while the Player of the Tournament will receive Rs 100,000. The Player of the Match will be awarded Rs 7,500.

45 players called up for youth friendly match against Chinese team

Forty-five players have been called up to the closed camp of the youth team to prepare for the friendly match against China Yunnan Youth Football Team.

Head coach Rajesh Shahi called up the players following his appointment as the head coach of the youth team on Friday.

The friendly match against the China Yunnan Youth Football Team will be played on February 15 at Dasharath Stadium.

 This match is part of the collaboration between ANFA and the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on January 22.

As the official organizer of the match, ANFA will provide all necessary technical support, while the Yunnan Sports Bureau and the National Sports Council will act as guiding units in coordination with the Chinese Embassy. The newly appointed coaching staff will be tasked with ensuring the team is well-prepared for the upcoming challenge.
