The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) welcomed the latest batch of the AFC Knowledge Sharing Programme (KSP) today in the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur.
The two candidates, representing the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) and the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), will be assigned to the Confederation’s Referees Department where they will undergo a comprehensive learning experience from October 2 to 19, 2024.
Over the course of two weeks, the candidates will gain valuable insights into the day-to-day operations, latest curriculum, and various other aspects of the acclaimed AFC Referee Academy, which is dedicated to developing world-class match officials.
Built on the legacy of the AFC Internship Programme, the KSP is a capacity building initiative that has enabled representatives from the AFC’s MAs to hone their skills in order to become the future leaders of Asian football.
Over the last seven editions, the KSP has equipped participants from all five regions of the AFC with the necessary knowledge and tools for the overall enhancement of football administration on the Continent, further reiterating the AFC’s ambitions of maintaining its position as a model Confederation.
Upon completing the programme, the participants are expected to apply their newly acquired expertise within their respective organisations and recommend policies where appropriate, contributing to the continuous improvement of football governance in Asia.
The Knowledge Sharing Programme is open to all employees of the AFC’s MAs and RAs. Moreover, candidates from the AFC Academic Centre of Excellence who have graduated with “distinction” will also have the opportunity to be part of the programme.
