ANFA Basic Referee Course concludes in Panchthar

A seven-day ANFA Basic Referee Course organized in Phidim, Panchthar concluded successfully with 20 participants passing the final assessment.

The course, which began last Tuesday, was jointly conducted by the Panchthar District Football Association with technical support from the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). A total of 43 aspiring referees, including two women, took part in the training program aimed at equipping individuals with the foundational knowledge and skills required to officiate football matches.

Among the 43 participants, the following 20 individuals successfully passed the course: Arjun Rai, Bigyan Prasai, Bishal Bantawa Rai, Diwan Rai, Jiban Gurung, Jitan Rai, Kanchan Shrestha, Mahesh Yaksho, Samir Darjee Karki, Sanjaya Jabegu, Saujan Rai, Ser Bahadur Limbu, Sikum Hang Limbu, Subash Limbu, Suman Limbu, Suman Rai, Sunuhang Nembang, Susan Longwa Limbu, Yugen Limbu, and Birendra Rai.

The course covered various aspects of football officiating, including the Laws of the Game, fitness training, positioning, and decision-making.

At the closing ceremony, the passed participants received their certificates from Panchthar District Football Association President Ganesh Rai and District Coordination Committee Panchthar Chief Ramraj Angdembe. They congratulated the new referees and encouraged them to contribute actively to the development of football in the region.
