ANFA President League begins in Nepalgunj

The first edition of ANFA President League has kicked off in Nepalgunj.

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa inaugurated the event on Monday amid a special function in Nepalgunj. 

Seven teams are participating in the event with the top four teams qualifying for the National League. 

In the first match, Kailali's Star City Yuwa Club defeated Rautahat's Manakamana Yuwa Club 3-0 with two goals from Rup Bahadur Lama and one from Dipak Raj Singh.

Team names, logos and owners for Nepal Super League unveiled

The name of teams, their logos and owners for the country's first franchise football tournament Nepal Super League (NSL) have been unveiled amid a programme on Sunday.

The tournament is going be organized at Dasharath Stadium from April 24.

The league is being organized by Nepal Sports and Event Management with technical support from All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

ANFA referee course begins in Birgunj

A week-long category 4 referee course organised by Birgunj metropolitan city with technical assistance from All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has begun in Birgunj from Saturday.  

The course was inaugurated by mayor of Birgunj metropolitan city Bijay Kumar Sarawagi. Sarawagi lit an oil-fed lamp during the inauguration. 

Chief guest Sarawagi also handed over a token of love to ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar who attended the program as a special guest. 

There are 25 participants in the course which will conclude on March 19.

FMT, Lalitpur Metropolitan City sign MoU to organize Veteran's Football

Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has agreed to provide Rs 500,000 to Footballers Mission Together (FMT) to organize veteran's football in the country.

A MoU was signed between LMC and FMT during a programme at ANFA Complex in Satodobato on Thursday.

LMC Mayor Chiri Babu Maharjan and FMT Chairperson and former national team goalkeeper Bishnu Gopal Shrestha signed and exchanged the MoU during the programme.

Godawari Municipality Mayor Gajendra Maharjan, Madhyapur Thimi Municipality Deputy Mayor Anjana Devi Madhikarmi, ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa, Vice Presidents Upendra Man Singh and Shixit Parajuli, General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar and other officials from ANFA and FMT were present in the programme.
