The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and Nepal APF School today signed a six-year historic agreement to establish Nepal APF School Football Academy.
ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa and AIG of the Armed Police Force, Pushpa Ram K.C signed and exchanged the agreement that states collaboration of ANFA and APF Academy to facilitate the young football players.
Both parties agrees in addition to establish a long-term agreement that represents a firm step towards achieving a goal that prioritizes education and combines with professional football.
" We are proud and delighted to announce the agreement with Nepal APF School to form an Academy. This a historic agreement to develop a healthy relationship that surrounds the development of players and coaches. This has been our goal in order to unlock huge potential of Nepalese football as we create a eco-system, " said ANFA President Sherpa after signing the agreement.
The contract means ANFA and APF School Football Academy will jointly facilitate young players in each alternate year. The technical team of ANFA and APF Academy will select 21 players; among which 14 players will be sponsored by the ANFA and APF (7/7 each). The parties will finance all the educational cost of the players till they complete high school (grade 12).
The academy will run by ANFA's qualified coaches and are open to boys aged 13-14yrs.
Speaking about the partnership, Inspector General of Armed Police Force, Shailendra Khanal said, " APF school is delighted to partner with the ANFA. We look forward to working hand in hand with ANFA to promote talented youth players around the nation."
" The link up provides us with the opportunity to take our young players to our senior team and to the national teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to benefit from the Academy with experience and knowledge. This will also help young players to experience Elite Player and aspire to a professional career in football. We have agreed to work together with the intent of developing the football standards as well," added IG Khanal.

58 players have been called by national men's team acting head coach Bal Gopal Maharjan for the closed camp training.
24 players are the new players receiving call-ups from the preliminary squad of the two-friendly series against Bangladesh that was held last month.
Nepal will begin the camp at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato to start of a long-term build towards the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
Skipper Biraj Maharjan is back, though, including Aditya Chaudhary, Bimal Gharti Magar, Santosh Tamang and Dinesh Rajbanshi.
Midfielder Bikram Lama will miss the camp due to muscular injury.
The team will meet up on December 12, 2020 at the ANFA Hostel and will officially begin the camp behind the closed doors.

The applications of all the clubs have been rejected for the AFC Club Competitions 2021.
Decision making body of the ANFA Club Licensing Committee – First Instant Body (FIB) made the decision on the applications for AFC Club Licensing today.
13 'A' Division clubs applied for the AFC License in the year 2020. Saraswoti Youth Club, relegated in the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2019/20, did not participate in the licensing process.
The AFC also has highly appreciated ANFA's and Tribhuwan Army Club's commitment and effort for complying with the AFC Club Licensing regulations.
Tribhuwan Army club has done a notable task by taking the decision to profesionalize football by amending its statues to reflect the change from a sports club into football club. The ANFA shall request the AFC for an exception to the two-year rule, once the changes on the leagal entity are approved by the appropriate bodies.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Monday held a briefing regarding 2021 Martyr's Memorial National League Plan to National Sports Council member secretary Ramesh Silwal.
ANFA League Committee Director Sanjeeb Mishra briefed Silwal with the plan of the leagues at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.
ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa, Vice Presidents Krishna Thapa, Shixit Parajuli and Upendra Man Singh, General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar, NSC board member Hari Khadka and other ANFA officials were present in the programme.
Vice President Singh, also the head of ANFA Technical Department, briefed about the strategic plans of technical department. Head of Elite Youth Nabin Maharjan presented the plans of the youth development before NSC board member and former national women's football team coach Khadka apprised the programme about the plans for women's football.
Similarly, Head of Coach Education Sanjeet Singh presented the strategic plans and programmes for coaching from 2018-2022. Manoj Ranjit, Grassroots Manager's presentation focused on grassroots plans and programmes after ANFA recently received the AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze Memberships for outstanding achievements in the development of football.
Gokul Thapa, Head of Referee Department, came up with the strategic five year refeering plan.
NSC member secretary Silwal queried on various aspects of the plan and also gave his valuable inputs during the programme.
