The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the fixtures of second round of the Asian leg of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers.
The second round matches which were originally scheduled for March-April this year, were postponed to October-November before again being pushed ahead to 2021.
Nepal will play against Chinese Taipei on 25 March, 2021 and against Australia on 30 March, 2021.
Likewise, Nepal will take on Jordan on 7 June, 2021.
Nepal, placed in Group B, has three points from four matches played in 2020. The last match Nepal played in the qualifiers was against Kuwait in Bhutan which resulted in 1-0 loss.
Nepal will host all the remaining matches of the qualifiers. If home and away match basis cannot be utilised due to current unavoidable situation, centralised venue would come into effect.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Thursday successfully completed its 11th Executive Committee meeting.
ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa chaired the meeting at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.
Discussions were held on various issues ranging from club licensing regulation to accepting the resignation of men's football team head coach Johan Kalin. Executive Committee members put their queries regarding the issues taken up for discussion. ANFA leadership answered the questions on the agendas put forth by the members.

The 11th Executive Committee meeting on Thursday decided to accept the resignation of men's national team head coach Johan Kalin.
Kalin resigned from his post effective from November 1. The meeting has decided to appoint Bal Gopal Maharjan as the acting head coach of the men's national team.
Kalin was appointed as the head coach of the national men's national team on March 1, 2019. His first game in charge of the national team was against Kuwait in March 21, 2019. Under Kalin, Nepal played 11 matches, including one against Malaysian club Johor Darul Tazim FC, winning one, drawing two and losing eight.
Coach Kalin had flown to his native Sweden on March 27 due to coronavirus pandemic and could not return to assume national team duties because of the travel restrictions imposed in his country.

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and Nepal APF School today signed a six-year historic agreement to establish Nepal APF School Football Academy.
ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa and AIG of the Armed Police Force, Pushpa Ram K.C signed and exchanged the agreement that states collaboration of ANFA and APF Academy to facilitate the young football players.
Both parties agrees in addition to establish a long-term agreement that represents a firm step towards achieving a goal that prioritizes education and combines with professional football.
" We are proud and delighted to announce the agreement with Nepal APF School to form an Academy. This a historic agreement to develop a healthy relationship that surrounds the development of players and coaches. This has been our goal in order to unlock huge potential of Nepalese football as we create a eco-system, " said ANFA President Sherpa after signing the agreement.
The contract means ANFA and APF School Football Academy will jointly facilitate young players in each alternate year. The technical team of ANFA and APF Academy will select 21 players; among which 14 players will be sponsored by the ANFA and APF (7/7 each). The parties will finance all the educational cost of the players till they complete high school (grade 12).
The academy will run by ANFA's qualified coaches and are open to boys aged 13-14yrs.
Speaking about the partnership, Inspector General of Armed Police Force, Shailendra Khanal said, " APF school is delighted to partner with the ANFA. We look forward to working hand in hand with ANFA to promote talented youth players around the nation."
" The link up provides us with the opportunity to take our young players to our senior team and to the national teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to benefit from the Academy with experience and knowledge. This will also help young players to experience Elite Player and aspire to a professional career in football. We have agreed to work together with the intent of developing the football standards as well," added IG Khanal.
