ANFA U-18 Youth League to kick-off from July 14

The ANFA U-18 Youth League 2024 is all set to begin from Asar 30 (July 14) onwards at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

The decision to organize the youth football tournament comes after multiple rounds of parleys with the clubs. ANFA had been holding meeting with clubs to agree on the participation, date and other aspects of the tournament.

Twelve clubs--APF Football Club, Church Boys United, FC Khumaltar, Jawalakhel Youth Club, Machhindra Football Club, Manang Marsyangdi Club, Nepal Police Club, New Road Team, Sankata Club, Satdobato Youth Club, Three Star Club and Tribhuvan Army Football Club--will take part in the youth competition.

The matches of the League will be played at ANFA Complex ground in Satdobato. Participating 12 clubs will play each other on a double round robin format with the top team clinching the title.

ANFA will release the fixtures of further details of the League in the near future.

Withdrawal from Cedars Women's International Tournament in Lebanon

Due to recent developments in Lebanon and with the security of our team members and officials as our top priority, we have decided to withdraw from the Cedars Women's International Tournament that was scheduled to take place from July 8 to 16 in Beirut.

ANFA is currently working on arranging a new tournament for the national women's team. We will share updates with our fans as soon as possible.

Footballers complete AFC C Diploma Coaching Course

Former and current national team footballers recently completed the AFC C Diploma Coaching Course at the ANFA Complex. The course, organized in two phases by the ANFA Players Association with support from ANFA, saw the participation of seventeen players.

The closing ceremony, held at ANFA Complex and presided over by ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, marked the conclusion of this coaching course. Also in attendance were General Secretary Kiran Rai, Deputy GS Arun Man Joshi, Spokesperson Suresh Shah, and head coaches of the national men's and women's football teams, Vincenzo Alberto Annese and Rajendra Tamang respectively.

The first phase of the course took place from February 12-25, while the second phase spanned from June 21-27. Sanjeet Singh, ANFA's Head of Coach Education, and Instructor Chet Narayan Shrestha guided the participants throughout the course.

President Nembang expressed his congratulations to the participants and expressed hope that this course would mark the beginning of successful coaching careers for them. Tanka Basnet, one of the participants, thanked the coaches for their valuable insights and guidance during both phases of the course.

ANFA to conduct trails for U-17 and U-20 men's national team

All Nepal Football Association has announced dates of trails for selection of players for U-17 and U-20 national football team.

The teams will take part in the SAFF U-20 Championship and AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers and the SAFF U-17 Championship and AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

As per the selection calendar, the trails will be conducted in districts from Asadh 10 to 15 for U-20 players and Asad 17-22 for U-17 players.

The final round of selection or the central selection will be held from Asadh 18-25 for U-20 and Shrawan 25-32 for U-17 players.

Players born between January 1st 2005 to December 31st 2007 (Poush 17, 2061-Poush 16, 2064) can take part in U-20 selection while players born in between January 1st 2008 to December 31st 2010 (Poush 17, 2064 to Poush 16, 2067) can take part in the U-17 trials.
