Timsina appointed goalkeeping coach of Gokulam Kerala FC

Manish Timsina has been appointed as the goalkeeping coach of I-League Champions Gokulam Kerala FC.

Timsina has been recruited for the upcoming 2021-22 season.

Nepal begin SAFF campaign against hosts Maldives

The fixtures of SAFF Championship have been released on Wednesday.

The Championship begins on October 1 with Nepal facing defending champions Maldives in the National Football Stadium in capital Male. Nepal will play their second match against Sri Lanka on October 3.

Nepal's third match will be against India on October 8 before wrapping up their group games against Bangladesh on October 11.

The final will be played between the top two teams on October 13. All the games will be played at National Football Stadium in Male.

Nepali side is currently in closed camp training in Pokhara to prepare for the Championship. Nepal has never been into the final of the tournament.

Five nations―Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka―will take part in the Championship.

India has been the most successful country in the championship lifting the title on seven occasions.

79 teams register for 'C' Qualifiers

A total of 79 teams have registered for the Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League Qualifiers which will begin from August 26.

Bagmati Province has the highest participation with 62 teams while Province 1 has seven teams. All other provinces have two teams each. Clubs from 25 districts have registered for the tournament.

The tie-sheet of the tournament will be drawn on August 20 (Friday) at 1 pm in ANFA Complex. Clubs will have to register their team manager, coach and at least 18 players by August 24.

Three clubs will be promoted to 'C' Division after the conclusion of the Qualifiers.

Nepal's match schedule in 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification confirmed

The date and time for Nepal's matches against Hong Kong and Philippines in the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification have been confirmed.

Nepali women's national team will play their first match against Philippines on September 18th and their second match against Hong Kong on September 21. Both the matches will kick off at 3 pm local time (3:45 NST) and will be played at JAR Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Hong Kong and Philippines will play the final group match on September 24.

The winner of the group will clinch their place in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022, scheduled to take place from January 20 to February 6.
