ANFA, Qatar FA signs a historical deal

24 October 2018 - The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and the Qatar Football Association (QFA) have signed a five year cooperation agreement today at the QFA head office Doha, Qatar. The agreement will help the two countries develop the sports and take bilateral relations to a new level. The deal was signed by Karma Tsering Sherpa, President of All Nepal Football Association, and Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Tani, President of the Qatar Football Association. Under the agreement, the parties will give effect to their collaboration and cooperation through management and officials, technical experts, coaches, referees and players. The both Football Associations will also establish an exchange program whereby QFA personnel are provided access to the expertise, courses and facilities of the ANFA and where by ANFA personnel are provided access to expertise and facilities off the QFA. The exchanges will include: 1) General Management 2) Management 3) Marketing 4) Promotional Activity 5) Sports Facilities 6) Study and Research 7) Technical and conditioning coaching 8) Referees 9) Football management and technical direction 10) Game development and talented player development 11) Women’s Football 12) Youth Football 13) Futsal 14) Sports Science, referring to football 15) Sports Medicine, referring to football 16) Research on football matters 17) Rules and Regulations The agreement also strengthens the commitment to the National Team Competitions. The FA’s will corporate each other to play international friendlies between their respective national teams. “We are proud to work with Qatar Football Association and I am very sure this will be a fruitful partnership,” ANFA President said after signing the agreement. President Karma Tsering Sherpa and League Committee Coordinator Bigyan Raj Sharma had left for Qatar on 22 October.

Preparation complete for SAFF U-15

23 October 2018 - The All Nepal Football Association is all set to host the SAFF U15 Championship 2018 from 25th October at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato. In the championship, host Nepal is drawn in Group 'A" along with Bangladesh and Maldives while Group 'B' consists of India, Bhutan and Pakistan. After Sri Lanka withdrew their participation from the tournament, six South Asian nations will now compete in the championship. The group winner and runners-up from the pools will qualify for semi-finals to be played at the ANFA Complex. The visiting four teams have already arrived in Kathmandu while neighboring India will arrive on 24th October. The total estimated budget of the championship is Rs. 16.5 million. Coach Sanoj Shrestha is taking the charge of the youth team while Mrigendra Mishra is his assistant. Manish Timilsina is the goalkeeping coach of the team. The event is also taken as a warm-up for the AFC U16 Championship Qualifiers. The ticket price is set for Rs. 500 and Rs. 200 for the VIP and open parapet respectively.

Afeez Olawale scores twice to give defending champions 3 points.

The match between Signature Manang Marsyangdi Club(MMC) , Defending Champion and Brigade Boys Club(BBC) who has just stepped up into A Division in Pulsar 'Martyr's Memorial A Division League' was by far one of the most intense match in this league. Rajat Tiwari took the lead for BBC by scoring a fantastic long range goal in 28th minute. Then the game was more intense and Heman Gurung scored deflected shot for MMC in the 1st minute into second half to make the score draw. Then Afeez Olawale for MMC who was the most fantastic player of the match scored and the score became 2-1. Frequent shots were attempted by both teams and the game went into 8 minutes of additional time. Again Afeez Olawale scored another goal for MMC in 90+3 minutes to make the final score of the match MMC 3-1 BBC. Needless to say, Afeez was awarded with the title of Man Of The Match for his heroic performance throughout the match.

APF and HSC ends up sharing a point.

The 6th game of Pulsar Martyr's Memorial A-divison league between Nepal APF Mahindra and Himalayan Sherpa Club ends goalless.Both teams missed couple of good chances inside the box.Good energy came after the first half from both the teams but ends up with empty score.With the heroic performance of HSC's defence, Ashish Gurung was awarded with Pulsar Man Of The Match award.
