National team forward Sabitra Bhandari returns from Qatar treatment

National women's team forward Sabitra Bhandari has returned home after completing her treatment in Qatar for the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

Bhandari arrived in Kathmandu on Monday. She was welcomed in the airport by ANFA Vice President Shixit Parajuli, executive committee member Pema Lama and her team mates.

Speaking to media persons at the airport, Bhandari wished to return to her previous form. "I think I need to work harder than before. I hope to get back on the field in the upcoming National Women's League," said Bhandari.

Bhandari was injured in the National Women's League 2078 after landing awkwardly in the match against Nepal Police Club. Bhandari had scored 43 goals in the league and helped her team Armed Police Force win the championship.

Fixtures of remaining rounds of league released

The remaining round of fixtures of Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22 have been released.

The 10th round of games will begin from this Friday (February 11) with Friends Club playing Brigade Boys Club at Dasharath Stadium in the first game followed by Tribhuvan Army Football Club vs Jawalakhel Youth Club.

Games will also be played at ANFA Complex making it the third venue in the current league. Besides Dasharath Stadium, games have also been played at Pokhara Stadium in Pokhara.

The dates and venue of the final round of the league have not been confirmed.

Machhindra Football Club is currently leading the table followed closely by NOC Manang Marsyangdi Club.

Chyasal's game against Nepal Police moved to Wednesday

Chyasal Youth Club's Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22 match against Nepal Police Club has been rescheduled to Wednesday due to wet outfield at Dasharath Stadium.

The game will now be played on February 9 (Wednesday) at 1 pm. The game was due to be played on Saturday.

Also the 10th round of matches will begin from February 11. The fixtures of the 10th round will be released soon.

16th Executive Committee meeting concludes

The 16th Executive Committee (Ex Co) meeting of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) concluded on Thursday.

The meeting was chaired by ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa.

The meeting decided to endorse the proposed Election Regulation draft as per the directives from FIFA and AFC. The meeting also endorsed Advocate Shree Ram Dawadi as the coordinator, Advocate Ram Chandra Gautam as the joint-coordinator, Damodar Bhattarai as member and Advocates Saraswati Shrestha and Preeti Karki as the alternative members of the Election Committee.
