Nepal Police defeat FC Khumaltar, Sherpa edge Three Star

Nepal Police Club defeated FC Khumaltar 2-0 to move towards safety in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023 on Friday.

In the first match at Dasharath Stadium, Bharat Shah and Muhammed Ashiq Shoukathali scored for Police in the win.

Shah headed in Police's first in the 76th minute before Shoukathali added a second two minutes from time. The win saw police climbed up to seventh with 28 points. Khumaltar are bottom with 21 points from 21 games.

In the other match of the day, Himalayan Sherpa Club scored a last gasp goal to defeat Three Star Club who are now winless in their past 10 games. Substitute Nisan Limbu scored the only goal in the added fifth minute of the game for Sherpa.

Sherpa climbed to sixth on the table with 29 points while Three Star are ninth with 26 points.

FIFA and the AFC delegation visits ANFA to provide governance support

A delegation from FIFA and the AFC visited All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) in a 2-days meeting in which they held successful meetings with representatives of the different bodies of ANFA including the Executive Committee members and the administration.

The delegation included FIFA Senior Member Associations Governance Service Manager Ahmed Harraz, FIFA Lead Regional Office South Asia Prince Rufus, AFC South Asia Unit Senior Manager Sonam Jigmi and AFC South Asia Unit Manager Dinish De Silva visited ANFA.

This visit was organized following the request of the ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and General Secretary Kiran Rai, during the 73rd FIFA Congress in Kigali, in order to assist ANFA in improving its internal governance processes.

The FIFA and AFC delegation appreciated the work already implemented by ANFA to improve its internal processes and will continue to provide the necessary support to ANFA in order to increase efficiency levels and achieve further improvements.

During their meeting with the ANFA Executive Committee members on the 26th of May 2023, the delegation held a positive and interactive discussion focused on the roles of the executive committee members and that of the general secretary.

The ANFA Executive Committee members attending the meeting expressed their commitment to work in line with the various FIFA and AFC regulations with the objective of lifting the financial restriction  which has been imposed on ANFA since 2021.

Friends thump Satdobato; Manang, Church Boys ends goalless

Friends Club defeated Royal Blue Satdobato Youth Club 4-0 in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023 on Thursday.

In the match at ANFA Complex, a brace from Torric Jebrin and goals from Rafiq Aminu and Prakash Budathoki gave Friends the win.

Aminu opened the scoring in the very first minute of the game before Budathoki doubled it in the 55th minute of second half.

Jebrin then scored two goals in three minutes to complete the win. Jebrin scored his first in the 87th minute and added another three minutes later.

Another much anticipated match between Manang Marsyangdi Club and API Power Church Boys United ended goalless at Chyasal Stadium.

APF defeat Sankata, NRT edge Army

APF Football Club defeated Sankata Club 2-1 in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League on Wednesday.

In the match at Chyasal Stadium, brace from Awas Lamichhane helped APF to the win. Lamichhane scored the team's first in the 25th minute and doubled it in the added minutes of first half. Manish Dangi pulled one back for Sanakta in the 50th minute.

In the other match at Dasharath Stadium, New Road Team defeated Tribhuvan Army Football Club 1-0. Kritish Ratna Chhunju scored the only goal of the game in the 79th minute.

In the third game of the day, Jawalakhel Youth Club played out a goalless draw against defending Champions Machhindra Football Club. Both the teams missed chance to catch league leaders API Power Church Boys United after the draw.
