ANFA Referee Course 2025 (CAT-4) Commences in Sindhuli

The seven-day ANFA Referee Course 2025 (Category-4) has began today in Sindhuli district under the technical assistance of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and the organization of the Dudhauli Municipality Sports Development Committee.

The inauguration ceremony, held in Dudhauli, was presided over by Ram Sharan Thapa, Chairperson of the Dudhauli Municipality Sports Development Committee. The event saw the participation of Chief Guest Deepak Khadka, Ward Chairperson of Dudhauli Municipality Ward No. 13, along with Hari Lal Bik, Acting Administrative Officer of Dudhauli Municipality, among others.

With 23 participants, the program is being conducted with the support of Dudhauli Municipality. This course is aimed at equipping new referees with knowledge of football rules, essential refereeing skills, and professionalism.

ANFA Women's League 2024 final round kicks off in Satdobato

The final round of the ANFA Women's League 2024 commenced on Thursday at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato. Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, officially opened the second round by handing over the match ball to the officials, marking the start of an exciting phase in the tournament.

Deputy Mayor Dangol was warmly received by ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Vice President Deepak Khatiwada, General Secretary Kiran Rai, and Executive Committee members Pema Dolma Lama and Sarila Shrestha.

The final round features five teams—Tribhuvan Army FC, Nepal Police Club, APF Football Club, Bagmati Youth Club, and Waling Municipality. These teams will compete in a double round-robin format for the League title.

Nepal to Host International Women's Football Friendly

Nepal’s national women’s football team is set to compete in the International Women's Football Friendly, scheduled to take place at the Dasharath Stadium from February 17 to 26, 2025.

The tournament will feature participation from Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, and Lebanon, with all three nations confirming their involvement during the FIFA International Match Window.

The last time Nepal’s women’s football team played on the international stage was during the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 in October. Nepal narrowly lost 2-1 to Bangladesh, earning the runners-up position in the regional tournament.

AFC/ANFA Goalkeeping B Diploma Coaching Course concludes

The AFC/ANFA Goalkeeping B Diploma Coaching Course, aimed at elevating the expertise of goalkeeping coaches in Nepal, officially concluded with a batch of 12 participants. Spanning two comprehensive phases from September 9-15 and December 21-29, the program provided in-depth training on advanced coaching methodologies, goalkeeping strategies, and nurturing young talent.

Under the expert guidance of AFC Instructor Gumpe Rime, participants acquired valuable knowledge and skills to advance the standard of goalkeeping across the nation.

The closing ceremony was attended by ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai, Ex-Co member Tika Lama, and Treasurer Rabindra Joshi. In recognition of his pivotal role, General Secretary Rai presented a token of appreciation to Gumpe Rime for his unwavering commitment to enhancing the capabilities of Nepali goalkeeping coaches.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rai expressed gratitude to Rime and underscored the significance of such initiatives in developing goalkeeping talent in Nepal. "This course is a critical step toward strengthening our goalkeeping infrastructure, and we are immensely thankful to Gumpe Rime for his dedication and expertise," said Rai.
