APF secure emphatic victory over Nepal Police Club

APF Football Club cruised to a commanding 6-0 win over Nepal Police Club in the ANFA Women's League on Thursday.

Anita Basnet opened the scoring for APF in the 11th minute, and Renuka Nagarkote doubled the lead in the 37th minute to give the team a comfortable advantage heading into halftime.

Nepal Police Club struggled to recover and completely fell apart in the closing minutes. Saru Limbu struck twice in quick succession, scoring in the 86th and 87th minutes, before Anita Basnet added two more goals in injury time, completing her hat-trick in style.

Army hit 12 past Waling Municipality

Tribhuvan Army Football Club crushed Waling Municipality 12-0 in an ANFA Women's League match on Wednesday. Bimala Chaudhary starred with four goals, while Chandra Bhandari added a hat-trick to the tally.

Sapana Lama and Anjana Thulung Rai each scored twice, and Bimala BK capped off the dominant display with a goal.

Waling managed to resist the departmental side until the 22nd minute, but Bhandari’s opener unleashed a torrent of goals, sealing an emphatic victory.

Nepal Police Club triumphs 2-0 over Bagmati Youth Club

Nepal Police Club secured a 2-0 victory over Bagmati Youth Club in the ANFA Women’s League Final Round, though the win came after several missed opportunities.

Niru Thapa opened the scoring in the 9th minute, giving Nepal Police an early lead. Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, the team struggled to convert, leaving them frustrated at times.

It wasn’t until the 82nd minute that Puja Rana sealed the victory with a second goal, ensuring the three points for Nepal Police Club.

APF Football Club thrashes Waling Municipality 9-0

Defending champions APF Football Club hit Waling Municipality for nine in the ANFA Women’s League final round on Monday.

Rashmi Kumari Ghising was the star of the match, scoring four goals, including a hat-trick inside the first 17 minutes. She struck in the 3rd, 6th, and 17th minutes, setting the tone for APF’s dominance. Ghising later added one more in the 77th.

Gita Rana also shone, scoring twice, with her first goal in the 5th minute and a penalty conversion in the 42nd minute. Saru Limbu contributed a brace, finding the net in the 31st and 39th minutes. Anita KC completed the rout with a 90th-minute strike, sealing APF’s emphatic victory.

APF’s relentless attacking display overwhelmed Waling Municipality in the first half, leaving them with little chance to recover, despite a much-improved performance in the second half. However, the damage had already been done in the opening 45 minutes.
