National women's team to play Four Nations Women’s Football tournament

Nepali national women's team is set to take part in Four Nations Women’s Football Tournament in India.

The tournament will be played from December 9-21.

The national women's team last played in the AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Friends Club, Nightingale School to run football academy

A tripartite agreement has been reached between All Nepal Football Association, Friends Club and Nightingale International Secondary School to run football academy.

A memorandum of understanding was signed in this regard on Thursday.

ANFA Vice President and Chairman of Youth Development Committee Upendra Man Singh, Friends Club's President Deepak Thapa, Nightingale School Principal Ranjana Pradhan signed the agreement.

As per the agreement, 14 players―seven players from the club and seven from the school―will join the academy named Friends Nightingale Youth Football Academy for the first year. The players will train at club's ground while the school will provide scholarship to them.F

For the second year, Friends Club will provide 14 players taking the total players to 21.A

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa was also present in the signing ceremony.

ANFA, Qatar Airways announce partnership for 'A' Division League

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and Qatar Airways have announced partnership for the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22.

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa and Qatar Airways Nepal Country Manager Mohamed El Emam exchanged the partnership agreement at ANFA Complex on Wednesday.

The partnership will see the Qatar Airways logo feature on all 14 League club shirts, as well as providing brand awareness through perimeter boards, stadium flags, LED screens and online digital content as well as other activity.

ANFA President Sherpa said the continuity of Qatar Airways sponsoring the league was built upon the existing collaboration with Qatar Airways. He said he was keenly anticipating the league which would begin from November 19.

Qatar Airways Nepal Country Manager Mohamed El Emam said Qatar Airways was here to connect people with all ages and backgrounds through football. He added football can be used as a tool to foster harmony and provide greater social support for the community while also providing a platform for players to develop and continue to push the standard of football in the country.

The league begins from November 19 with Friends Club taking on Satdobato Youth Club in the opener at Dasharath Stadium at 5 pm.

ANFA President Sherpa calls on AFC Prez in Bahrain

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) President Karma Tsering Sherpa met Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa in Bahrain.

The duo took up various football related discussion during the meeting on Monday. In the meeting, President Sherpa thanked AFC for the continued support to development of football in Nepal.

President Salman was positive towards President Sherpa's invitation to visit Nepal in the near future. Sherpa also proposed to hold an AFC Executive Committee meeting in Nepal.

Sherpa gifted a Nepali team's jersey to AFC President Salman on the occasion.

AFC General Secretary Dato’ Windsor John was also present in the meeting.
