Machhindra climb to top after 3-0 victory over Himalayan Sherpa

Defending Champions Machhindra Football Club (MFC) climbed to the top of the table by a virtue of better goal difference after a 3-0 victory over Himalayan Sherpa Club (HSC) in the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League on Saturday.
MFC and second-place Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) both have 10 points from four games.

NRT claim first win of season against Satdobato

New Road Team (NRT) claimed their first win of the season condemning Satdobato Youth Club (SYC) to their first defeat in the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22 on Saturday.

Stephane Samir Binong scored the only goal in the first minute of the second half to give NRT their first win of the season. SYC could have levelled the game in the final minutes but Ashish Rai shot just wide from the bar.

NRT moved up to seventh in the table while SYC are third in the table.

NRT coach Raju Kaji Shakya said he was happy with the win but not with the team's performance. "Our performance was down as compared to our previous game. But as we changed our team's formation, we scored and could manage the win," said Shakya.

SYC's coach Meghraj KC said his team looked tired in today's game. "We were slow today and our passes were also not accurate. We missed a good chance towards the end and need to improve in coming matches," said KC.

Himalayan Sherpa Club will play against Machhindra Football Club in the other match of the day at 4:45 pm.

Tribhuvan Army cruise past Chyasal Youth Club, move to second

Tribhuvan Army Football Club (TAFC) saw off Chyasal Youth Club (CYC) to move into second in the table of the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22 on Friday.
George Prince Karki and Jagjeet Shrestha scored for the departmental team in their 2-0 victory. TAFC were dominant from the start and deserved the victory which was more comfortable than the scoreline suggested.
An unmarked Karki headed in TAFC's first in the 19th minute. They continued to put pressure and Shrestha doubled the lead in the 36th minute after a period of defensive lapse by CYC.
TAFC's coach Nabin Neupane said his strikers seemed to have grown in confidence after last game. "It is good that our strikers have started to score. Every goal and every match is important for us as we have to win three points in the title race," said Neupane.
Chyasal Youth Club's Bal Gopal Sahukhala said they were absolutely poor in the first half and were punished. "Army is a very strong team and they were very dominating as we looked to play a lazy game in the first half. We have a young squad and still we have a lot to work on," said Sahukhala.
Satdobato Youth Club will play against New Road Team in Saturday's first match at 1 pm and Himalayan Sherpa Club will face Machhindra Youth Club in the second match at 4:45 pm.
