Satdobato end Manang's unbeaten run, Sherpa hit APF for five

Manang Marsyangdi Club's unbeaten start in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023 came to an end with a 1-0 defeat to Satdobato Youth Club on Wednesday.

Dipak Raj Singh Thakuri's 40th minute strike downed the league leaders at Dasharath Stadium in the third match of the day.

Himalayan Sherpa Club downed departmental side APF Football Club 5-3 in the first match of the day at Chyasal Stadium.

Satyam Sharma's double and goals from Sudip Shrestha, Abayomi Oluwaseun Fakunle and Biswash Shrestha helped Sherpa to the win.

Sudip scored the first goal in the eighth minute before Sharma's first goal in the 24th minute. Sharma made it 3-0 in the 29th minute before Armand Beadoum pulled one back for APF in the added minute of the game. Sanish Shrestha's goal in the 47th minute and Pradip Lama's 63rd minute strike levelled the game at 3-3 before Fakunle and Biswash goals sealed the win for Sherpa.

Fakunle scored in the 76th minute and Biwash scored one minute from time in the win.

Goals from Junior Onguene Nkengue and Manish Dangi helped Sankata to a 2-1 win over New Road Team at Dasharath Stadium

Nkengue scored in the 22nd and Dangi doubled the lead in the 37th minute. Nicolas Serge Song's 62nd minute goal made it 2-1 for NRT.

Players to take part in tactical training as part of SAFF Championship preparations

National men's team head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese will conduct a tactical training for players as part of preparations for the upcoming SAFF Championship in India.

The training will be conducted on April 14 at Dasharath Stadium.

Twenty-six players will take part in the training.

Goals galore as Machhindra thrash FC Khumaltar, Army defeat Jawalakhel

Afeez Olawale Oladipo scored five as defending Champions Machhindra Football Club defeated FC Khumaltar 7-3 in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League on Tuesday.

In the match at Chyasal Stadium, Olawale gave Machhindra the lead in the 25th minute. Four minutes later, Bimal Gharti Magar scored Machhindra's second goal before Olawale stretched the lead to 3-0 just before the break.

Eleven minutes after the restart, Olawale scored from the penalty spot to complete his hat-trick before Messouke Etiegnie Oloumou pulled one back for FC Khumaltar in the 61st minute. Olawale then scored two goals in the space of five minutes all but ended the game.

Olawale scored his fourth in the 62nd minute and fifth five minutes later. Stephane Samir Binong's strike in the 76thminute and Messouke's second goal in the 81st minute made it 6-3 but substitute Bijay Bhujel scored Machhindra's seventh to complete the rout.

In the other match of the day at ANFA Complex, Tribhuvan Army Football Club defeated Jawalakhel Youth Club 3-1. Army took the lead through Gillespye Jung Karki's 17th minute strike. Nawayug Shrestha doubled Army's lead from the spot in the 55th minute.

Jawalakhel's Sunil Khadka made it 2-1 in the 62nd minute but Sudil Rai's 80th minute goal sealed the win and three points for Army.

Nepal Police claim first win; Manang maintain unbeaten run

Nepal Police Club claimed their first win of the Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023 with a 3-1 victory over Friends Club on Monday.

In the match at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Nepal Police first ever foreign recruit Moses Gyabaah Twum gave them the lead in the 51st minute. Buddhabal Tamang doubled the departmental side's advantage with the second in the 58th minute.

After Torric Jebrin pulled one back from Friends Club, Tamang scored his second goal in the final minute of the game to give Nepal Police their first victory of the league.

In the other match at Dasharath Stadium, Church Boys United and APF Football Club shared points after a goalless draw.

The third match of the day between Manang Marsyangdi Club and Three Star Club ended in 1-1 draw.

Santosh Sahukhala, returning to Three Star after seven years, gave them the lead in the 78th minute. Manang levelled through Koffi Timothee Koudo six minutes from time to maintain their unbeaten run in the league.
