New Road Team (NRT) registered their first win of the Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023 with a comeback win over Himalayan Sherpa Club at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Sunday.
Sherpa had taken the lead through Khamir Gilsan Kandangwa in the 14th minute but goals from Rohan Khadgi in the 66th and Jenish Prajapati in the final minute of regular time gave NRT the win.
Defending Champions Machhindra Football Club also secured 2-1 win over Sankata Club at Dasharath Stadium. Afeez Olawale Oladipo scored the winning goal after Machhindra's Bimal Gharti Magar's opening goal in the 21st minute was cancelled out by Manish Dangi in the 21st minute.
Machhindra's Tshiring Gurung collapsed and fell down on the pitch after a collision with Pujan Uperkoti in the added minute of the game. Medics immediately rushed on to the field and treated him before moving him to the hospital. He is said to be out of danger.
In the final match of the day, Royal Blue Satdobato Youth Club and Tribhuvan Army Football Club played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
Army thrice took the lead in the game only for Satdobato to level the game each time.
Gillespye Jung Karki gave Army the lead in just the fourth minute before an own goal from Bikash Khawas in the 25th minute levelled the game for the first time.
Army retook the lead through Karki's second goal in the 39th minute. Three minutes after the break, Satdobato were back again through Sardorbek Matmuratov who was substituted-in in the second half.
Deepak Gurung restored Army's lead in the 52nd minute after Satdobato's goalkeeper Abhishek Baral misjudged his shot and it went straight into the net. Satdobato's William Opoku Asiedu levelled the game in the 85th minute for the entertaining draw.

Pham Hai Yen scored both the goals as Nepal were defeated 2-0 by Vietnam in the second match of the first round of Women's Olympic Football Asian Qualifiers match at Dasharath Stadium on Saturday.
Nepal improved from their performance from the first match but was overpowered by the Vietnam side.
Yen scored her first goal in the sixth minute and added another a minute later for the win.
After a lackluster first half, Nepal improved in the second half but could not break down the Vietnam's side. The best of the chances fell to Dipa Shahi whose shot came off the upright.
Nepal's head coach Ananta Raj Thapa said the team improved in the second half but could not find the goal. "I am happy to put such performance against the Vietnamese side who are ranked much higher than us," said Thapa.
Nepali skipper Anjila Tumbapo Subba admitted her mistake in both the goals but was happy for the team's performance. "I take responsibility for both the goals conceded, the result could have been different had I saved those shots but I am happy for the way the team performed especially in the second half," an emotional Subba said.
Vietnam's head coach Mai Duc Chung praised the performance of the Nepali side. "They played a good game and I am glad we won both the matches," said Chung.

A youthful Manang Marsyangdi Club displayed a dominant passing football to defeat Friends Club 2-0 in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023 on Friday.
Koffi Timothee Koudo scored both the goals for Manang at Chyasal Stadium. Koudo scored his first in the 34th minute and doubled the lead in the 52nd. It, however, was a dominant display from Manang than the scoreline suggested.

Nkoto Synous Masoabi gave Jawalakhel the lead in the 33rd minute before Abhishek Limbu levelled the game two minutes later for FC Khumaltar. Messouke Etiegnie Oloumou put Khumaltar into the lead in the 63rd minute but Fode Fodana's goal five minutes from time ended the match 2-2.

Two goals from skipper Huynh Nhu and one each from Pham Hai Yen, Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy and Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha completed the win for Vietnam.
Sabitra Bhandari scored one consolation for Nepal in the 79th minute in the match at Dasharath Stadium.
It was a dominating display from Vietnam side which Nepal's head coach Ananta Raj Tamang admitted in the post-match. "We now know how the World Cup playing nations play. They scored good goals," said Thapa.
Vietnam's head coach Mai Duc Chung said Nepal also had a good game but need to improve on their technical aspect. "They played a good physical game. Their number nine [Sabitra] is really a good one. But I think they should improve on their technical aspect of the game.
Nepal will play the second match on Saturday in the same venue.
