ANFA, Star Hospital sign medical agreement for U-16 league

All Nepal Football Association and Star Hospital have signed one year agreement regarding various medical services for the upcoming ANFA U-16 Youth League set to begin this Saturday.

ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and Star Hospital Executive Chairman Kishore K Maharjan signed in the agreement at Star Hospital in Sanepa on Wednesday.

As per the agreement, Star Hospital will provide medical services to the players and officials of the League and also provide discount in various medical services.

Star Hospital will also provide medical personnel in the match venues and ambulance in the League.

ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai, Treasurer Rabindra Joshi, Assistant General Secretary Arunman Joshi were also present in the signing ceremony.

Central and South Asian MAs gather for FIFA Forward 3.0 Workshop in Dubai

Representatives of FIFA’s six (6) Central Asian and five (5) South Asian Members Associations (MA) gathered in Dubai last week for a workshop to launch the new FIFA Forward 3.0, the latest in a global series.

FIFA Forward allows FIFA to redistribute income to all its association for the development of football, with the third and latest iteration, FIFA Forward 3.0, launched at the start of this year.

The programme has provided support for FIFA’s 211 MAs since 2016. Two successful iterations of the programme have been completed since its inception with over 2.8 billion USD committed to a diverse array of plans and projects.

This current cycle, which ends in 2026, sees a greatly increased level of funding with investment increased by almost 30 per cent with a significant element of the investment to support FIFA’s goal of having 60 million female players participating in football worldwide.

In Dubai, as well as the focus on FIFA Forward 3.0, the workshop also touched on several important topics including women’s football and global football development programmes.

Additionally, MAs did deep dives on other administrative topics such as financial governance, compliance, good governance principles, and there were also discussions on FIFA Football for Schools and FIFA Digital Skills.

AFC C Coaching Certificate Course concludes successfully

The AFC C Coaching Certificate Course, held from 21st to 27th May and 1st to 5th July came to a successful conclusion on 16th to 20th June. The course was organized by the Morang Football Association with technical support from All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

This is the first time this course has been organized in Nepal.

ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang chaired the closing ceremony as the chief guest along with several distinguished guests including ANFA Ex-Co members Purushottam Thapa, Dipendra Dhimal.

ANFA President Nembang delivered an inspiring speech and highlighted the importance of coaching in nurturing young talent. The ceremony was also addressed by Pradeep Shah, Assistant Chief District Officer of Morang District, Rajan Adhikari, Head of Koshi Provinc Police Training Centre. Additionally, Deepak Rai, President of the Sunsari District Sports Committee, and Khadag Shrestha, Vice President of Koshi Province Football Association, Santosh Baniya, former Vice President of ANFA were also present.

During the program, the guests expressed their hopes and well wishes for the future of the participants of the coaching course.

The course was conducted in two phases and was led by Head of Coach Education Sanjeet Singh as the instructor, with assistance from ANFA Acting Technical Director Hari Khadka as the assistant instructor. According to the guidelines of AFC Coaching Convention, this course has been prepared and conducted by ANFA.

A total of 23 coaches participated in the course. ANFA plans to organize similar coaching courses across Nepal in the near future.

Final women's squad for Bangladesh friendly announced

The final squad of national women's team for the two friendly matches against Bangladesh has been announced.

Head coach Ananta Raj Thapa announced his squad on Friday.

Bangladesh will host Nepal in the two friendlies on July 13 and 16.
