ANFA Refereeing Course for Province 1 referees held in Jhapa
With an aim of producing quality referees, All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) held ANFA Refereeing Course 2019 from May 19-25 in Jhapa district.
The course was conducted for referees in Province 1 and 30 participants, including four women referees, took part in the course. Participants came from Bhojpur, Dhankuta, Ilam, Jhapa, Khotang, Morang, Panchthar, Sankhuwasabha, Sunsari, Taplejung and Udaypur districts.
ANFA Senior Vice President Pankaj Nembang welcomed the participants and thanked Jhapa District Football Association for the course during his opening session speech. He revealed ANFA's plan to build referee academy in the district in the near future.
Mechinagar Municipality Deputy Mayor Mina Uprety expressed her pleasure to have such a course organized in her municipality and said sports was crucial in developing the young generation of the country. Also speaking on the occasion, Bhagirath Ale, President of Jhapa Football Association, also thanked every parties involved in organizing the programme.
The course was conducted by technical instructors Laba Khari and Madhu Sudhan. Sailesh Joshi was the physical instructor while Rojen Shrestha provided assistance during the course.
Twenty-one participants who cleared the course were awarded with ANFA refereeing badge.
