Shree Bhagawati edge Brigade Boys, Madhyapur secure first win

Shree Bhagawati Club continued their strong start in the Martyr's Memorial B Division League with a 2-0 victory over Brigade Boys Club on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Madhyapur Youth Association secured their first win of the tournament, defeating Jhapa Football Club 2-1.

In the first match of the day, Suleman Thapa Magar put Shree Bhagawati ahead in the 30th minute. They had to wait until the 84th minute to seal the victory, as Depesh Shrestha’s late strike ensured all three points.

In the second match, an own goal from Pema Tamang handed Madhyapur the lead in the 52nd minute. Jhapa fought back, with Pujan Rai equalizing in the 89th minute, seemingly salvaging a point. However, Sajin Thapa Magar’s dramatic goal in the third minute of added time secured Madhyapur’s first win while condemning Jhapa to their second consecutive defeat.
