ANFA to run fully fledged physiotherapy service for footballers, commoners

All Nepal Football Association has opened a fully-fleged physiotherapist center for footballer and the general public.

ANFA has opened Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department and appointed national women's team physiotherapist Navina Shrestha as Head of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department to run the services. ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai handed over the appointment letter to Shrestha on Wednesday.

Shrestha brings over a decade of experience in physiotherapy and rehabilitation services. She has also completed specialized training in sports injuries at Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Qatar.

The department will provide services to footballers and commoners at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

Under this new initiative, physiotherapy services will be provided free of charge to players from the senior, women's, and youth-level national teams. Club-level footballers will benefit from discounted services, while general public can access the facility at an affordable rate.

The department aims to minimize injury risks to players, assist in their recovery, and provide quality rehabilitation services to the public.
