All Nepal Football Association has bid farewell to the national women's team flying to Saudi Arabia for the WAFF Women's Championship.
The event, held at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Friday, was graced by the presence of ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Senior Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka, Vice President Birat Jung Shahi, General Secretary Kiran Rai, and several distinguished members of the executive committee including Sarila Shrestha Maleku, Pema Dolma Lama, Tika Lama, Manish Joshi, Bharat Budh Thapa, Anil Malla, Dipendra Dhimal and Spokesperson Suresh Shah.
The Championship in Saudi Arabia will be held from February 19-29. Nepal's Head Coach Rajendra Tamang has already announced his squad for the Championship.
Nepal have been drawn alongside Palestine, Syria and Iraq in Group B of the competition. Hosts Saudi Arabia, Guam, Lebanon and Jordan are in Group A.
Nepal will play their first match against Syria on February 20 followed by against Iraq on the 22nd. Nepal's third and final group match against Palestine will be played on February 24th.
The top two teams from each group will reach the semi-finals of the competition.
All the matches will be played at Hall Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City.
