Nepal's hopes in the SAFF U-19 Women's Championship were dashed after a challenging 4-0 defeat to India at the BSSSMK Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Needing a victory against India to advance to the finals, Nepal fought valiantly but ultimately fell short against a strong Indian side. With this win, India secures their place in the finals against Bangladesh on February 8.

In a tightly contested first half, Nepal managed to hold off India's attacks and keep the scoreline goalless. However, India found their rhythm in the second half, with Neha breaking the deadlock in the 54th minute.

Neha's second goal in the 81st minute extended India's lead, followed by Sulanjana Raul's strike in the 86th minute. Despite Nepal's late efforts, Cindy Colney sealed the victory for India with a goal in added time.

Nepal had bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Bhutan having lost their opening match against hosts Bangladesh.
