Players of the men's football team will be rewarded with Rs 51,000 each for making to the second round of World Cup qualifiers.
ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang announced the decision to reward the players upon their arrival from Laos on Wednesday night.
Nepal defeated Laos with an aggregate score of 2-1 in the first round. The first leg at Dasharath Stadium ended in 1-1 draw while Nepal won the second leg 1-0 in Laos.
Nepal will now face UAE, Bahrain and Yemen in Group H of the second round. The second round matches will be played in home-and-away format between November 2023 and June 2024.
