International Menstrual Hygiene Day marked with orientation programme

The International Menstrual Hygiene Day has been marked with an orientation and interaction programme with members and officials of the U-20 national women's team.

The day was marked by ANFA in coordination with WaterAid Nepal. ANFA Ex-Co member and Women's Committee Coordinator Sarila Shrestha Maleku, members and officials of the U-20 national women's team, Head of Grassroots Football Pankaj Shahi, Country Director of WaterAid Nepal Tripti Rai, Head of Business Development and Strategic Partnership Pratibedan Baidhya, Head of Policy and Advocacy Seema Rajouria, Program Policy Coordinator Saheli Maharjan were present in the programme.

Rajouria and Maharjan facilitated the programme.

The programme focused on menstruation and female athletes and issues they endure during periods.

It was an interactive and fruitful program that will help female players to speak out their concerns related to period. The program ended on a positive note and ANFA and WaterAid Nepal hopeful to further work in the sector of menstruation hygiene and health and WASH facilities in near future.
