APF edge Waling, Army defeat Bagmati

In the ANFA Women's League 2081 on Thursday, departmental sides Tribhuvan Army FC and APF FC both secured victories.

Army triumphed over Bagmati Youth Club with a 3-0 win, while APF narrowly defeated Waling Municipality 2-1.

In the first match at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Bimala Chaudhary opened the scoring for Army in the 27th minute.

Amisha Karki doubled the lead in the 62nd minute, and Sanji Thing's own goal in the 90th minute sealed the victory at 3-0.

In the second match, APF faced a late challenge from Waling but managed to hold on for a 2-1 win.

Renuka Nagarkote scored in the 12th minute, followed by Rashmi Kumari Ghising in the 38th minute. Waling's Cissy Nantongo pulled one back in the 80th minute, but APF held firm to claim all three points.

Nepal Police, Sankata register wins

Nepal Police Club triumphed over Koshi Province with a commanding 4-0 victory in the ANFA Women's League 2081 match on Wednesday at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

The highly anticipated match saw the departmental side cruise to victory, starting with Anuska Sherpa’s goal in the 24th minute. Nirmala Upadhyaya doubled the lead just after halftime.

Samjhana Lawati added a third in the 80th minute, and Amrita Jaisi rounded off the scoring two minutes from full time.

In the day's second match, Sankata FC benefited from their foreign recruits, securing a 2-0 win against Karnali Province.

Selina Anima scored in stoppage time of the first half, followed by Temilope Jennifer Owoeye's goal in the 55th minute to seal the victory.

Final squad for SAFF U-17 announced

National U-17 head coach Sanoj Shrestha announced his final squad for the upcoming SAFF U-17 Championship 2024 in Bhutan.

Shrestha named his squad on Monday.

The team will take part in the Championship from 20-30 September.

Army hits Sudurpaschim for 14

Tribhuvan Army FC delivered a dominant performance in the ANFA Women's League 2081 on Tuesday, defeating Sudurpaschim Province 14-1.

Midfielder Dipa Shahi led the charge with five goals, and Anita Lamjel added a brace. Chandra Bhandari, Sanju Kumal, Bimala BK, and Sabitri Devi Magar also contributed to the scoring spree.

Sudurpaschim's lone goal came from an own goal by Army's Nilam Singh, providing a small consolation in the completely one-sided match.
