Boys Union defeat Shree Kumari, Shree Bhagawati draw with Madhyapur

Boys Union Club registered a thrilling 5-3 victory over Shree Kumari Club in Wednesday’s Martyr's Memorial B Division League match.

Palden Tamang gave Shree Kumari the lead from the penalty spot in the 19th minute, but Sujit Budathoki equalized for Boys Union just five minutes later. Binod Rai then put Boys Union ahead in the 32nd minute.

After the break, Divyabikram Chaudhary extended the lead in the 57th minute to make it 3-1. Arun Shah pulled one back for Shree Kumari, but Susan Lama restored Boys Union’s two-goal cushion. Yaman Maharjan added a third for Shree Kumari in the 89th minute, only for Divyabikram to score his second late on and secure the 5-3 win.

In the day’s second match, Shree Bhagawati Club and Madhyapur Youth Association played out a 1-1 draw.
Bikrant Narsingh Rana gave Shree Bhagawati the lead in the 19th minute, but Sahil KC equalized for Madhyapur in the 61st minute.

Planning Boys promoted to A Division

KWS Planning Boys United have been promoted to the A Division after a 2-0 win over Bansbari Club in the Martyr's Memorial B Division League 2081 on Monday.

Following a goalless first half, Planning Boys took the lead in the 47th minute through an own goal by Sandip Raut. Pujan Thapa sealed the victory with a second goal three minutes from time.

ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, General Secretary Kiran Rai, among others, congratulated the players and official following their promotion to the top-tier.

In the day’s earlier fixture, BBR A-One Saraswoti Youth Club secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Birgunj United. Gyanendra Joshi opened the scoring in the 18th minute, followed by Naresh Kumar Khatri in the 56th and Dhirendra Bahadur Shaha in the 73rd to complete the win for Saraswoti.

RCT, Jhapa Register Victories

RCT defeated Brigade Boys Club 2-1 in the Martyr's Memorial B Division League match on Monday.
Ajit Gurung gave RCT an early lead in the 14th minute, and Nikhil Tamang doubled the advantage with a strike in the 82nd minute. Duryodhan Magar scored a stoppage-time goal for Brigade Boys Club, which proved to be only a consolation.

In the day's other match, Jhapa Football Club secured a 3-1 victory over Nayabasti Youth Club.
Babin Bohara opened the scoring in the 5th minute, and Rajesh Dahal extended Jhapa's lead in the 39th. Although Suman Yongya pulled one back for Nayabasti in the 67th minute, Dahal struck again in the 85th to seal the win for Jhapa.

Final squad for Thailand friendlies announced

Nepali national women's team squad for the upcoming friendlies against Thailand has been confirmed.

Head coach Rajendra Tamang named is 23-member squad on Friday.

Nepal is set to play two matches in Bangkok — a behind-closed-doors training match on May 30, followed by an international friendly on June 2.

These matches are part of the team’s build-up to the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ Qualifiers, which begin on May 4. Nepal has been drawn into Group F alongside Laos, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan.
