About Futsal/Beach Soccer

Beach soccer, also known as beach football, sand football, or basal, is a variant of association football played on a beach or some form of sand. In Nepal Beach Soccer in rather a new concept in Nepal that All Nepal Football Association is determined to develop in upcoming years. Along with beach soccer, ANFA is also working towards the development of Futsal in the country. For the same, an independent joint committee has been formed by ANFA.

Even though the country lacks sea beaches, ANFA is working on the prospects of using river beaches and also create artificial beaches to promote beach football in the country. For the Futsal development, ANFA has a 32 men squad shortlisted that would be representing Nepal in the national as well as the international level. Recently Nepal Futsal Team had taken part in the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 Qualifiers.
