Sankata Club to run football academy following agreement with ANFA, Nexus School

A tripartite agreement has been reached between All Nepal Football Association, Sankata Club and Nexus School to run football academy.

A memorandum of understanding was signed at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Tuesday.

ANFA Vice President and Chairman of Youth Development Committee Upendra Man Singh, Sankata Club's acting president Surendra Shikhrakar, Nexus School Principal RB Katuwal signed the agreement.

As per the agreement, 14 players―seven players from Sankata Club and seven from Nexus School―will join the academy named Nexus-Sankata Youth Football Academy for the first year. The players will train at Sankata Club's ground while Nexus School will provide scholarship to them.

For the second year, Sankata Club will provide 14 players taking the total players to 21.

Sankata Club becomes the first civilian club to sign the agreement to run the academy after departmental teams Nepal Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and Nepal Army.

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa, Vice President Shixit Parajuli, General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar, Assistant General Secretary Arun Man Joshi were also present in the signing ceremony.

ANFA signs MOU with Salesberry for supply of grocery items

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Salesways Cash and Carry Pvt Ltd (Salesberry) for the supply of grocery items at ANFA Complex.

ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar and Salesberry Chief Operating Officer Chet Narayan Poudel signed the MoU at ANFA Complex on Tuesday.

Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League to begin from Sept 19

The Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021 will begin from September 19.

A meeting with 'A' division clubs representatives at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Monday took the decision to this effect.

The meeting also decided to open players registration for the league from July 30.

Nepal drawn with Philippines and Hong Kong in AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 Qualifiers

Nepal have been drawn alogside Philippines and Hong Kong in Group F for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 Qualifiers.

The event was held virtual at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 28 teams were drawn into four groups of four and four groups of three, with the winners of each group clinching their place in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022, scheduled to take place from January 20 to February 6.

The qualifiers matches will be held from September 13-25.
