ANFA Executive Committee meeting postponed

The second executive committee meeting of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) scheduled for Monday has been postponed until further notice.

The postponement comes after ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang was taken ill and admitted to Mediciti Hospital.

President Nembang has been admitted and is being attended by medical staffs.

The meeting was called at 3 pm today.

Final squad for SAFF U-20 Championship confirmed

The final squad of U-20 national team for the upcoming SAFF U-20 Championship in India has been confirmed.

Head coach Meghraj KC has confirmed his squad for the championship on Monday.

Nepal will play its first match of the SAFF U-20 Championship against Maldives on July 25. Their second match against Sri Lanka on July 27 followed by India on the 31st. Nepal's final group match will be against Bangladesh on August 2.

Final squad:

Goalkeeper: Ishwor Gurung, Unesh Chaudhary, Jiyarath Seikh

Defenders: Amar Shrestha, Sonit Dahal, Aayush Shrestha, Ajay Chaudhary, Sumit Shrestha, Srijan Dhani, Roshan Thapa, Abhishek Waiba

ANFA President, Gen Secy take stock of Renuka Nagarkote's injury

ANFA President Pankam Bikram Nembang, General Secretary Kiran Rai and other Ex Co members visited injured national women's team captain Renuka Nagarkote at B&B Hospital in Gwarko on Tuesday.

President Nembang, Vice Presidents Dawa Lama and Deepak Khatiwada, General Secretary Rai and Treasurer Rabindra Joshi took stock of her health condition during the visit.

Nagarkote suffered a clavicle fracture during training for the women's football in Asian Games. She underwent open reduction internal fixation surgery at the hospital and will remain out for at least 10 weeks. She will be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.

U-20 national team squad down to 30

The number of players in the U-20 national team, currently in closed camp for the SAFF U-20 Championship in India and AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Bahrain, has been reduced to 30.

Head coach Meghraj KC has left out 11 players from the 41 players called up for the squad.

Nepal will play its first match of the SAFF U-20 Championship against Maldives on July 25. Their second match against Sri Lanka on July 27 followed by India on the 31st. Nepal's final group match will be against Bangladesh on August 2. Nepal will play its first match against Bhutan on September 10 and second match against Qatar on September 12. The third match will be against Bahrain on September 14 and fourth against Bangladesh on September 18.
