ANFA President, General Secretary meet injured U-20 forward Rai

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and General Secretary Kiran Rai visited injured U-20 forward Dipesh Rai at B&B Hospital on Thursday.

President Nembang and General Secretary Rai took stock of Rai's health condition during the visit. Team Manager Diwakar Ghale was also present in the visit.

Rai, injured during the national U-20 practice match on Tuesday, was admitted to the hospital with a swollen foot. He will be discharged from the hospital on Friday.

Head coach Meghraj KC has since replaced Rai with Rohit Subba in the team.

Second Ex Co meeting postponed

The second Executive Committee meeting of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has been put off.

The meeting was originally scheduled on July 18 but was postponed for today due to ill health of President Pankaj Bikram Nembang. 

ANFA Ex Co member Maniraj Bista was sworn in before the start of the meeting. Election Committee coordinator Shreeram Dawadi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Bista.

Open selection to be held for U-17 national team

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) will organize an open selection from July 25 to select players for the U-17 national team.

Interested players born after January 1, 2006 can take part in the selection process to be held at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

Players will have to fill a form (available here) and submit it to ANFA Complex in Satdobato for registration. Registration is free of cost and will remain open until July 25. Players should bring either birth certificate or passport or national ID card at ANFA Complex to register.

The U-17 national team will take part in the SAFF U-17 Championship in September and the 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualification.

Second Executive Committee meeting to be held on July 21

The postponed Executive Committee meeting of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) will be held on Thursday.

The meeting was scheduled on Monday but was postponed after President Pankaj Bikram Nembang fell ill and was admitted to Mediciti Hospital.

The meeting will begin at 7 am in ANFA Complex.
