Goalkeeper Bishal Shrestha calls time on international career

Goalkeeper Bishal Shrestha has announced his retirement from international career.

Shrestha announced he was calling time from the national team after the final league game of FC Chitwan in the Nepal Super League season two on Friday. Shrestha had captained FC Chitwan in the second season.

"I had made up my mind to retire after the SAFF Championship [in India]. I thought to give space to the new generation," said Shrestha who was adjudged Player of the Match in Chitwan's final league match.

Shrestha had debuted for the national team against India on September 5, 2021. He replaced Kiran Chemjong in the 86th minute to make his long-awaited debut for the national team.

"I had to wait and finally got my chance in September. That was a memorable day for me. I would like to thank all who supported me during my time with the national team," he added.

AFC C Diploma Coaching Course second phase begins in Dharan

The five -day second phase of the AFC C Diploma Coaching Course began in Dharan, Sunsari on Saturday. The course is organized by the Koshi Province Football Association with technical support from the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

Vice President of Koshi Province Football Association Mani Chemjong delivered an inspiring speech  highlighting the importance of the coaching course during the  opening ceremony of second phase of the course.

Acting Technical Director Hari Khadka and Head of Coach Education Sanjeet Singh are the instructors of the course. The first phase of the course was conducted from November 21 to November 27.

A total of 24 coaches are taking part in the course.

Indraman Tuladhar takes over as CEO, handed appointment letter by GS Kiran Rai

ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai has handed over the appointment letter to newly appointed ANFA CEO Sankata Club President and former ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar.

Tuladhar was appointed to the post by the ANFA Executive Committee meeting on Monday. He received his appointment letter at ANFA.

Tuladhar was welcomed to ANFA by GS Rai and ANFA staffs.

Sixth Executive Committee meeting concludes

The sixth Executive Committee meeting of ANFA has concluded on Monday.

The meeting at ANFA Complex in Satdobato was chaired by President Pankaj Bikram Nembang.

The meeting decided to distribute 20 percent of income made from ticket sales in international tournaments to the team taking part in the competition. Martyr's Memorial C Division League scheduled to begin from Falgun 15 was also endorsed by the committee.

The meeting appointed former General Secretary and Sankata Club President Indraman Tuladhar as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ANFA. The meeting also appointed Prabin Kumar Yadav as the Assistant Treasurer.

National men's team head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese's contract has been extended by three months and fifteen days. The extension means Annese will be at the helm of the national team until the conclusion of the second round of World Cup Qualifiers matches.
