ANFA Referee Course Category-4 begins in Dharan

A seven-day ANFA Referee Course Category-4 course has begun in Dharan of Koshi Province.

ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang inaugurated the week-long course on Wednesday.

ANFA President Nembang, Vice President Deepak Khatiwada, Ex-Co member Dipendra Dhimal, Assistant General Secretary Basanta Aryal, Koshi Provincial President Kishor Rai, among others, graced the opening ceremony of the course.

Speaking in the opening ceremony, ANFA President Nembang wished for the successful completion of the course. He said development of referees was crucial for the development of football and such courses would contribute towards the development of referees in the country.

Fifty-one participants―41 male and 10 women―are taking part in the course.

ANFA-C Division clubs meet: Three-member committee formed

A meeting between All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and C division clubs at ANFA Complex has formed a three-member coordination committee on Tuesday.

The meeting has appointed Diwakar Ghale as Coordinator, Sushil Subedi as Deputy Coordinator and Bibek Rai as member. The committee will work jointly with the C division clubs and ANFA regarding the competition and other matters.

The meeting dwelt on various matters regarding the tournament and concluded with an agreement to form the committee to facilitate between ANFA and the C division clubs.

ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Vice President Dawa Lama, General Secretary Kiran Rai and representatives of C division clubs were present in the meet.

Preparations complete for SAFF U-19 Championship

The preparations for the SAFF U-19 Championship scheduled to begin from September 21 at Dasharath Stadium have been complete.

A press meet was organized at Dasharath Stadium prior to the youth tournament.

Bangaldesh, Bhutan, Maldives, India, Pakistan will join hosts Nepal for the tournament.

The tickets of the tournament have been fixed at Rs 100 for normal parapet and Rs 300 for VIP parapet. Tickets can be bought through Khalti app.

Nepal Sports Center have been awarded the marketing rights of the tournament while all the matches will be broadcasted live in Sportzworkz Youtube page.

Myanmar beat Nepal in second friendly

Nepal lost 1-0 to Myanmar in the second international friendly in Yangon on Monday.

Myanmar took the lead in the 87th minute when Win Naing Tun finished a swift counter attack move by Myanmar. Myanmar tried to clear the ball after Dinesh Henjan shot in the bar in the 86th minute.

The assistant referee had raised the flag only for the main referee to continue the play in which Myanmar scored through Tun. Nepali players contested the decision to allow the goal to stand but in vain.

Henjan debuted for the senior side in the game.

The first friendly between the two sides had ended goalless.
