Sports Castle defeat Sankhamul to lift Futsal League title

Kishor Gurung scored a hat-trick and Bijay Gurung added another as Sports Castle Pokhara defeated Sankhamul Futsal 4-2 to lift the title of 'A' Division National Futsal League in Pokhara on Friday.

In the final played at Multipurpose Covered Hall in Pokhara, BIjay opened the scoring for Sports Castle in the sixth minute and Kishor scored his hat-trick in the 20th, 29th and 39th minute for the champions. Laxman Thapa Magar and Mani Lama scored for Sankhamul in the 11th and 23rd minute respectively.

Sports Castle also took home NRs 1 million after claiming the title while runner-up Sankhamul won NRs 500,000.

Sports Castle's coach Bishnu Gurung won the Best Coach award Sumit Shrestha won Emerging Player award.

Mani Lama from Sankhamul was adjudged Best ALA, Bijay Shrestha from Futsal 5 Dharan was Best Fixo and Anish Shrestha, also from Sankhamul, won Best GK award. Each award winners won NRs 25,000 each.

ANFA Ex Co member KC bereaved

Executive Committee member of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and President of Rupandehi District Football Association Dirgha Bahadur KC has been bereaved of his mother's death.

KC's mother Khal Kumari KC died during course of treatment on Thursday. She was 92.

Sankhamul defeat Rising Club Dharan to enter final

Sankhamul Futsal will play Sports Castle in the final of 'A' Division National Futsal League after defeating The Rising Club Dharan 4-3 in extra time on Thursday.

In the second qualifier match at the Multipurpose Covered Hall in Pokhara, Mani Lama scored in the third minute of extra time to secure the winner for Sankhamul after the regular time ended on 3-3.

Lama had scored a hat-trick for Sankhamul in the regular time. Bishan Shrestha had scored a brace and Hemanta Thapa Magar scored the other goal for Rising Club.

Rising Club had lost the first qualifier against finalists Sports Castle on Wednesday. The final will be played on Friday.

Sports Castle reach Futsal final; Rising Club Dharan, Sankhamul to vie for final berth

Sports Castle Pokhara reached the final of 'A' Division National Futsal League defeating Rising Club Dharan 8-6 in the first qualifier on Wednesday.

Rising Club will have another shot for a place in the final when they take on Sankhamul Futsal, which overcame Sabin Memorial FC 3-2 in the eliminator.

In the qualifier played at the multipurpose hall in Pokhara, hat-tricks from Kishor Gurung and Sumit Shrestha and goals from Suraj Gurung and Bijay Gurung helped Sports Castle to the final. Sudip Gurung, Hemanta Thapar and Milan Rai all scored twice in Rising Club's defeat.

In the eliminator match, Krijal Khadka scored a brace and Jenish Prajapati scored another as Sankhamul edged past Sabin Memorial. Saroj Gurung and Manoj Gurung scored for Sabin Memorial.

Sankhamul will now play against Rising Club in another qualifier on Thursday for a place in the final. The final will be played on Friday.
