Darshan Gurung scored a brace as New Road Team (NRT) registered a 2-0 win over Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) to move to sixth in the table of the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22 on Monday.

Gurung scored twice in the space of four minutes to give NRT the win at Dasharath Stadium.

We are happy with the win," said Sinkemana. He added that the team will now try to finish in the top-four spot in the league.

JYC's head coach Kishor Kumar KC said they wanted to win at least a point against NRT today. "We had opportunities which we could not finish and lost rhythm in the second half. We wanted at least a point but could not," said KC.

JYC are 10th in the table with eight points from nine games.
