RC32 Football Academy wins as C Division begins

The Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League 2024 began at ANFA Complex on Thursday.

Minister for Youth and Sports Biraj Bhakta Shrestha graced the opening match at ANFA Complex in Satdobato. Minister Shrestha greeted with players and match officials.

ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Senior Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Ex-Co member Pema Dolma Lama, CEO Indraman Tuladhar were present to welcome the minister at ANFA Complex.

In the first match after the opening ceremony, RC32 Football Academy began the league with the 1-0 victory over Khalibari Yuwa Football Club. Babin Bohora scored the only goal for RC32 in the 22nd minute of the match.

Two matches will be played at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Friday with Sanepa Club facing Bagmati Youth Club at 1 pm and Raniban Sports Club playing Mahabir Club at 4:15 pm.

Preparations Completed for Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League

ANFA has completed preparations for the Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League set to begin from Thursday.

A press meet was organized at ANFA Complex in Satdobato to brief about the completion of preparations for the league.

RC32 Football Academy take on Khalibari Yuba Football Club in the opener on Thursday at 3 pm. Fourteen clubs will face each other in a single round robin format playing a total of 91 matches.

The winner of the tournament will receive Rs 1 million with the runner up taking Rs 700,000. Third-place team will be awarded Rs 500,000. Awards will also be provided to individual performers with the Best Goalkeeper and Highest Scorer taking home Rs 35,000 each. The Best Player of the Tournament will receive Rs 50,000. The equivalent amount will also be provided to Fair Play Team.

Player of the Match honors come with a reward of Rs 5,000 for each game.

The marketing, broadcasting and ticketing rights have been sold to MDAC Sports. Tickets for the matches have been fixed at Rs 100 and Rs 200 for normal and VIP parapet. ANFA Complex in Satdobato will host the majority of the matches, with Chyasal Stadium and Dasharath Stadium serving as alternative venues when necessary.

All the matches will be broadcasted live on Prime TV HD and Canada Nepal Youtube channel.

Bahrain down Nepal in second leg of World Cup Qualifier

Bahrain defeated Nepal 3-0 in the World Cup Qualifier second round on Wednesday.

Having lost the first leg 5-0, Nepal put up an improved performance in the second leg but could not escape the defeat.

Bahrain seized control early in the match, netting all three goals in the first half. Sayed Baqer opened the scoring in the seventh minute, followed by Abdulla Yusuf's penalty conversion in the 18th minute after a foul by custodian Kiran Kumar Limbu on Mohamed Marhoon in the box. Komail Alaswad sealed the victory with Bahrain's third goal in the 36th minute.

Nepal made four changes to the starting lineup with Anjan Bista, Manish Dangi, Sumit Shrestha and Hisub Thapaliya replaced by Sanjeeb Bista, Bharat Khawas, Samir Tamang and Gillespye Jung Karki.

RC32 Football Academy face Khalibari Yuba Club in C Division opener

The fixtures of the Martyr's Memorial C Division League 2080 have been drawn at ANFA Complex on Friday.

RC32 Football Academy will face Khalibari Yuba Club in the curtain raiser on April 4 (Chaitra 22).

ANFA Deputy General Secretary Arunman Joshi, CEO Indraman Tuladhar, Competition Director Sanjeeb Mishra, representatives from marketing and ticketing partner MDAC and all participating C Division clubs were present in the ceremony.

ANFA CEO Tuladhar and Competition Director Mishra briefed the clubs representatives about the fixtures and its drawing process.

Fourteen teams will play in single round robin format at ANFA Complex Ground in Satdobato.
