Machhindra defeat APF; Sankata snatch late point in draw with Army

Machhindra Football Club defeated APF Football Club 2-1 in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023 on Sunday.

In the match at Dasharath Stadium, Machhindra came from behind to secure the win.

APF had taken the lead in the game through Armand Beadoum before Omolaja Nurain Kareem levelled the game just before half time.

Afeez Olawale Oladipo then scored a wonder goal to secure the points for Machhindra.

In the other game at ANFA Complex, Sankata Club scored a late penalty to draw the game 1-1 against Tribhuvan Army Football Club.

Bharat Khawas scored his first goal of the league to give Army the lead in the 18th minute. Army looked like they have secured all the points before conceding a late penalty in the added minutes of the game. Youssef Atriss stepped up to score from the spot and level the game for Sankata.
